Supreme Court Upholds Defunding Planned Parenthood from Medicaid Funding

The U.S. Supreme Court just announced an opinion that says states can exclude Planned Parenthood, or other abortion providers, from receiving Medicaid funding.

In a 6 to 3 opinion, the Supreme Court dealt a massive blow to the abortionists. The case stemming from South Carolina will ensure that Idaho’s new law will also stand.

Idaho is one of approximately 17 states that have taken steps to prohibit abortion providers from receiving Medicaid or other public funds.

Planned Parenthood has already closed several of its clinics in Idaho, and now the state is down to just one clinic left, located in Boise. No surprise there.

Hopefully, with this new opinion from the Supreme Court, more clinics will close across the country.

Now that the funding issue for abortion is cleared up, it’s time for the state to tackle the overall problem of the Medicaid budget and how fast it is bankrupting our state.
